New Business & Marketing Executive | Job Description
New Business Executives (NBEs) are responsible for the generation of new business leads for the company through the development of relationships with new and existing clients.
•New Business Executives (NBEs) are responsible for generating new business leads for my client using a range of resources including, but not exhaustively; the internet, industry press and sales and marketing databases.
•NBEs are expected to have a good understanding of all Products and Services and new client documentation for the purpose of delivering compelling and informed pitches and presentations to new clients.
•NBEs are also expected to work with the Client Director to explore and develop new business opportunities within the existing client accounts.
•As part of their role New Business Executives are also expected to be able to take a concept brief from a client and clearly communicate the client’s objectives and requirements to the Client Director or an appropriate member of the Client Services team.
•New Business Executives may also be called upon to assist the MD and Client Director with other PR and Marketing related activities as and when required.
•NBEs should record a full contact, sales and chase history in the company database, in a way that can be easily referenced and understood by all other staff
•NBEs are also expected to carry out routine administration and management tasks associated with any new business leads including, but not exhaustively, reading and responding to emails, providing relevant information about the products and services, arranging introductory meetings with potential new clients, pre meeting research, arranging for the completion of any post meeting action points and maintaining regular phone and email contact with each new lead.
•NBEs should work with the Client Director to ensure all new business and case study documentation is in order and kept up to date
•NBEs are also expected to have a clear understanding of quarterly business development objectives and targets, as defined by the MD and Client Director and should assist the Client Director in recording any necessary information required to monitor performance against these targets.
•NBEs are often the first point of contact between company and potential clients and are expected to build and maintain a good relationship with all new contacts; communicating the objectives of the business in a consistent and professional manner. NBEs should be positive and passionate about the company at all times.
•NBEs report directly to the Client Director and are expected to liaise with their line manager on a regular basis to inform them of forthcoming meetings and potential leads and discuss performance against quarterly business development objectives and targets, as detailed above.
