European Energy & Eco-design Specialist

Our client, a World-leading Electronics brand, is now looking to extend the range of capabilities within their European Sustainability Affairs team, specifically in the areas of power consumption, energy efficiency and eco-design.

The main objectives of this role are to:

- Influence and achieve optimum outcome in European Policy developments on energy issues;
- Ensure that the company is involved in government/industry/NGO initiatives on energy efficiency in key member states where beneficial
- Improve information to European customers on energy consumption
- Increase interaction on energy efficiency developments in Europe & implications for global business management

Successful candidates would be expected to participate in relevant external meetings focused on technical aspects of energy efficiency and act as a main point of contact and expert knowledge base for all queries (internal & external) relating to the specified technical issues.

Candidates are required to have:

- At least 2 years experience in a similar role dealing with product aspects of energy efficiency in relevant industry sector
- Technical knowledge and understanding of power consumption and measurement in consumer electronic and IT products
- Experience/competent users of Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English - verbal and written (does not need to be primary language)

Qualified engineers are desirable as this role will require a thorough understanding of electrical engineering, energy efficiency and specific technical industry knowledge.
