Housing Officer, London Service

Experience within the front line housing service is essential. The candidate must also have experience of receiving and processing applications for housing advice and assistance. Knowledge of current legislation and best practice relating to Housing, Asylum and Immigration is important. Additionally, knowledge of welfare benefits and an understanding of local government policy and legislation are of fundamental importance.

The role involves the provision of comprehensive housing advice from a range of offices across the borough. The candidate will hold a varied case load and will be responsible for the provision of housing advice on all aspects of Housing need and to provide full and effective advice on the prevention of homelessness, tenancy sustainment and housing options.
