EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED HEAD HOUSEKEEPER IN THE HEART OF DEVON.

We have been instructed by our prestigious client, a stylish hotel based in a desirable location to recruit a Head Housekeeper.

My client is looking for an experienced applicant who has an excellent eye for detail and superb management skills. Ideally this position will suit a candidate working at executive level or ready to take the step to this level as you will have responsibility for departmental budgets, staff recruitment & management, Health & Safety and maintenance procedures. A 4/5 star background is essential along with excellent organisational skills.

Duties:-

• To implement and monitor procedures to ensure all areas of the Hotel are kept to agreed standards of cleanliness and repair at all times.

• To communicate effectively with the Reception team and other managers to ensure maximum guest satisfaction .

• To manage the Housekeeping department in line with the agreed budget.

• To ensure that the housekeeping team operates in a safe environment, with safe working practices in line with the hotel’s health & safety policy.

• To train, support and develop the housekeeping team as appropriate to ensure staff retention and morale.

• To take responsibility for the monitoring of all hired and hotel-owned linen and fabrics ensuring that it is of the quality required and that stock is kept at the required levels.

To assist the rest of the management team with operational duties as they arise.

• To take a full role in the development of the hotel along side other colleagues in the Management team.
