Paintshop Supervisor

FUNCTIONS:
Manage the day to day operation of the whole plant ensuring that production targets and requirements are achieved.
Ensure that all production is inspected to meet company quality standards.
Manage paintshop personnel, monitoring performance and ensuring safe working practices and high standards of housekeeping are maintained.
Control all materials used and seek opportunities for improvement to reduce cost and waste.
Ensure all new starters are trained in safe and productive processes and carry out regular reviews to identify further opportunities for development.
Ensure all plant is regularly cleaned and maintained and working with the Company’s site service team, ensure that servicing and maintenance is carried out in a timely manner and in accordance with the suppliers and statutory requirements.
Ensuring strict observation of all Health & Safety processes and that all paint, materials and other consumables are properly stored and accounted for.
Carry out all activities accurately and safely in accordance with the Company’s standard processes and procedures and seek continuous improvements.
Have a flexible attitude and be prepared to work in all other areas according to demand
Provide a weekly report against performance monitors to the rest of the senior Operational team.
Provide month end report detailing paint-shop utilisation and all cost reduction activities and new initiatives.

MEASURABLES:
All work activities are carried out in accordance with health & safety and company requirements. With all documentation for plant, equipment and PPE being fully completed on every use.
High standard of housing keeping to be maintained throughout the department.
Weekly / monthly operative maintenance tasks to be completed and recorded.
All work to be processed through the department in a timely manner to meet internal and external customer requirements.
High quality standards to be maintained with a component rejection rate through poor paint finish of less than 1%.
Produce weekly report on department performance, detailing work processed, number of rejects, material consumption, value of powder consumed per kit and waste powder produced to aid continuous improvement and highlight areas of weakness.
Salary: £16,000 - £18,000 per annum, inc benefits
