Electronics Development Technician

Our client, a leading designer and manufacturer are looking for an additional team member to support their full programme of innovative new designs, we require an Electronics Development Technician (EDT) to strengthen the Product Development team.

A methodical approach and the ability to work with changing priorities are important for this role. The EDT will report to the Product Development Manager

The EDT duties will include.

Building prototype products and PCB’s.
Fault finding and repairing PCB’s.
Maintaining Bills of Materials
Product validation testing
Component testing
Supporting Sales and Production departments.
Assisting with the maintenance of quality records and systems.
Assisting with the maintenance of purchasing records.
The successful candidate is likely to have experience in a manufacturing environment and ideally be qualified to ONC/ HNC level with the following key attributes:

Ability to read circuit diagrams and fault find to component level.
Have good soldering and rework skills,
Have good communication skills
Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft and business applications


The working hours will be 37.5hrs/wk, benefits include 23days paid holiday, sick pay scheme, contributory pension, life assurance and BUPA.

This is an exciting opportunity within a rapidly developing company, and the EDT is also expected to undertake any other duties and tasks that may be reasonably required.
