Substance Misuse Group Worker, London Service

Experience in designing and developing care plans for substance abuse clients is essential. Experience running groups for class A adult users is a benefit in addition to working with alcohol misuse clients. There is an opportunity to gain experience within the alcohol misuse field.
This position involves group work with drug and alcohol users in addition to illicit drug users following the CBT model. The group work consists of; relapse prevention, harm minimisation, thinking skills, triggers and self awareness. Additionally aspects of the job will revolve around one to one work and the supervision of clients who are doing diversifying activities, inclusive of sport, training and education. There will be a case load of approximately 10 and will require the successful candidate to perform psychometric testing.
