Commis Chef
My client is looking for a Commis chef you must be committed to the highest standards of service. The ideal candidate will have an excellent attitude with a friendly and pleasing personality, someone who is passionate about food, people and service. You should have experience of working on a professional section within a busy kitchen environment with a small team in a Commis role; as such the role is very much hands-on. You should have the ability to communicate effectively and work within a team. Experience of working in a busy kitchen is desirable
Minimum qualifications – one years experience including NVQ1 and current Food Hygiene Certificate.
Responsibilities
To ensure that all tasks given by the head chef, and other senior chefs, are completed in a timely manor and to the highest standard
To ensure that communication is maintained with all the kitchen team
To ensure that all food handled within the section is done so in a hygienic manor
Ensure that all current legislation - Health, Safety and Hygiene
is followed
To assist in the running of the section with the Chef De Partie/Sous Chef
Ensure wastage is kept to a minimum in order to achieve the GP
