LSCB Development Officer

The successful applicant will have a professional qualification in social work, teaching, nursing or a related field and have previous experience of working with children in need of protection as well as working with children and parents in a community setting. It is also essential that the applicant has knowledge and understanding of child protection legislation including Every Child Matters. The role itself will involve contributing to and co-coordinating the Local Safeguarding Children Board sub committee as well as providing training and promoting inter-agency protocols and procedures.
