Assistant Marine Superintendent (Car & RoRo division)

Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, this vacancy exists in the Marine Division of the Car & RoRo division. This division is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of vessels:- Cargo quality, marine safety, stowage of the vessels, technical marine issues.

Purpose of the Position:-
Involved in the day to day cargo and vessels safe operations, which entails technical advice, Car & RoRo stowage planning, vessels port attendance, monitoring quality and performance issues with port captains and stevedores, and liaising with commercial and marine staff.

Core Tasks and Activities:-
1. Customer Service
2. Damage Claims settlement, assessment of existing damage claim settlement schemes
3. Assisting stowage planning
4. Study advanced stowage planning system
5. Technical advice and support to the commercial section
6. Attending Loading / Discharging operations / Vessel safety assessment
7. Assessment of Stevedores and other vendors’ performance and feedback
8. Collecting, filing and updating regional marine safety information, chart folio
9. Fleet and weather watch
