Mobile Game Porting Developer

Main Responsibilities


* Via Java programming and the use of 3rd party development technologies deliver quality ports of J2ME games to a multitude of mobile devices
* Analyse application compatibility on different mobile devices and perform debugging of applications
* Teamwork and ability to work to tight deadlines

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Essential:

* Software development experience
* Java, J2ME experience is an asset
* A detailed understanding of object oriented programming as well as multi-threading
* An understanding of general memory and performance optimisation
* Knowledge of Eclipse or similar Java IDE
* Good communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
* A degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Desirable

* J2ME programming experience
* Some graphics and sound programming experience
* Experience in the development of applications for handheld/mobile devices
* Game development experience
* Games QA experience
* Knowledge of XML
