Operations Operative

This vacancy exists in the Operations team of the Dry bulk division of a London based Shipping Company. This division is responsible for chartering, operations and business development handy / handymax bulk carriers for the trades of various bulk, steel products and generals.

Core Tasks and Activities
1 Sailing instructions to the vessel and the agents
2 Monitoring of vessel schedule prior to commencement of voyage, during the voyage until completion
3 Discussion with the agents, charterers, brokers for operational issues for the purpose of smooth arrival, berthing, departure to/from the ports of loading and discharging
4 Obtaining optimum stowage plans
5 Arranging bunkers, surveyors, and other supplies to the vessel
6 Supervising documentation including bills of lading, and collection of invoices, statements for disbursements / freight, charter hire revenues and arranging payments, receipts together with data inputs to the company’s system
