Client Manager - Direct Sales


The Client Manager is responsible for the ownership / promoting and selling the services of the company for his/her defined accounts and in accordance with the Company commercial policy. He/she is responsible for generating sales activity and opening up lines of communication with suppliers, customers, agents and staff in the UK and overseas.

The Client Manager should work within the guidelines set by Corporate / Regional Sales Management and be responsible for achieving the defined revenue/volume budgets and targets for his/her respective accounts & to work closely & communicate well with all internal stake holders such as Trade, Pricing Customer Service & Sales Support as well as developing their sales support team.

Organise weekly call plan in accordance with Corporate and Regional requirements ensuring that all accounts in his/her remit receive the necessary coverage. In conjunction with the Regional Manager & where appropriate the Director of Sales UK/Ireland /Director of Business Development, Ensure all necessary preparation for sales calls to include formulation of agendas to facilitate controlled goal based meetings.

The Client Manager will be responsible for managing his/her clients’ outstanding freight.

For this particular appointment previous Client Management or Account executive status would be preferred. The successful applicant requires a proven track record demonstrating successful account management and client building skills, such as contract negotiation, maintaining & growing client support year on year both in terms of volume and revenue , ensuring value added services & e commerce targets KPI’s are also met.
