Highway Design Engineer

In December 2005 Transport Solutions Edinburgh moved to Canning Exchange where they are co-located with other parts of my clients business. In line with growth targets in Scotland, Transport Solutions will be recruiting additional skills into the current team, as the new building provides scope for expansion on the ground floor.

This is an exciting opportunity to join their expanding team delivering professional services to a wide range of clients in Edinburgh. The successful candidate for the role of Highway Design Engineer will fulfil a role within the roads design team in Edinburgh which will be demanding, challenging and rewarding. Working directly with the lead Highways Design Engineer and other members of the Team, the opportunities for future personal development are significant.

They would like a graduate, with post-graduate experience in roads and transportation, delivering technical solutions to public and private sector clients. Broad experience of designing highway based projects with a proven track record of success for CPD. Strong experience in roads. Experience in Scottish Executive / Highways Agency procedures would be beneficial. Client liaison skills. Ability to contribute to high profile tender submissions.

Reporting to the lead Highways Design Engineer, you will undertake a Design role in our expanding road design team in Edinburgh.
Assist with winning new work.
Development and recruitment of staff in particular Graduates and Technicians.
Providing technical support, and promoting technical excellence.
Client liaison.

Excellent Salary between £23,000 and £30,000 pa.
