Senior Design Engineer

My client is a multidisciplinary consultancy with services ranging from infrastructure, environmental, civil and building services. Through strategic development, the company has grown into one of the largest and most successful consulting engineers in the UK.


My client specialises in providing structural design for the built environment and has been responsible for some of the most exciting building projects in the last 50 years. It has taken a leading role in developing methods to meet the demands of the changing property industry. Particular strengths have been developed in the commercial, health care, retails and residential markets, where award winning teams have helped provide the expertise and vision to unlock some of the most complex, large scale developments in this country.


They are currently working on a number of projects varying from:


Retail/Residential/New Build - Liverpool - £25 Million

Commercial - Edinburgh - £50 Million

Retail - Edinburgh - £60 Million

Schools - Scotland - £5 Million

Public Sector - Inverness - £10 Million


Structural Design Engineer, Glasgow


The ideal candidate for this position should be professionally qualified and be able to demonstrate a proven ability to work on projects.


An example of the projects you will be working on will be Residential, Commercial, Industrial Health Care, Leisure, Retail and more.


This is a design role and you will be expected to work in a team and also on your own. Ideally the client would like the candidate to be up to date with all software required for this role. You will also be aware of all construction materials and codes. They would like somebody who is energetic and willing to learn new things and progress to the next level of becoming Chartered.


They must be able to monitor the technical performance of staff working for them.


Competent and enthusiastic candidates will be considered for further career advancement within the Group's management structure.


Ideally you will have 3 years plus experience.
