Account/Brand/Business Development, Manager
Our client is a world renowned manufacturer of branded products that supplies into the Prescription Spectacles sector. Due to organic growth, they seek an exceptional individual to join their UK and Ireland team as Business Development Manager. You will be required to develop and maximise sales and profit objectives through a well defined sales and marketing plan within the optical industry.
Reporting directly to the Business Director, you key responsibilities will include:
• Develop and implement the annual Country Business Plans in agreement with Management.
• Ensure financial targets are met.
• Deliver the annual retail sales volume per customer category
• Drive customer strategy per account and deliver the sales plan through all channels; to include manufacturers, distributors and retail partners.
• Deliver annual retail sales per each emerging market and explore new business development opportunities.
• Develop a network of strong relationships across the entire decision making function including, Sales, Training, Marketing and Communications.
• Educate retail partners and eye-care professionals on how to promote the product to the consumer.
In order to apply for this role you will be of graduate calibre with experience in a client facing, account/product/brand management role. You will have worked for a large, international organisation, specializing in the Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Cosmetics, FMCG or Optical industries. Fundamental understanding of tactical marketing tools is essential. This role requires someone with a full UK Driver’s Licence as flexibility to travel both nationally and internationally is a must. You will be tenacious and methodical in your approach, develop a passion for the product and be able to convey the benefits to prospective clients through a soft selling approach. You will strive to build strong, professional relationships and be able to influence at the highest level. Additional French language skills would be an advantage, but are not essential.
