Location: Derby

Rate: £30-£35 Per Hour

Our client is a leader in its field and with international presence it is no wonder they are so successful in what they do. They now have an opportunity for a Programme manager to come and join them on an interim basis.



The Role:

· Act as lead Client for and on behalf of the Company in the Territory for all construction projects

· Provide professional direction for Project Teams, managing value through the life of the project to maximise financial and brand benefits to the Company

· Identify and acquire the skilled resources and funding to achieve customer construction requirements

· Manage all programme activities across all pre-construction, construction, and post-implementation activities

· Develop, agree and commit to the project business plans and manage cost and resources to ensure delivery of those plans

· Lead construction work stream teams (both internal and external members) including setting up, developing and evaluating team performance



The Person

· Project Management in Construction Industry

· A degree, post graduate diploma or equivalent in construction management

· Mature knowledge of the whole project management process (as defined in the APM Body of Knowledge)

· A good level of knowledge in all the technical skills recognised as being required for the management of projects

· Conceptual and organisational skills with an ability to take high level concepts from senior review and to transfer these concepts into project plans

· Several years experience in the management of construction work packages or projects, of increasing complexity

· Technical knowledge and skills required for the management of projects – Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Services



Advantageous Skills

· Quantity Surveying

Member of a relevant construction project management institute.
