Blood Borne Virus Nurse
A Nursing qualification (RGN/RMN) is essential. Previous experience working with blood borne viruses is essential. Experience working with substance misuse clients would be a benefit. A phlebotomy qualification would also be a benefit.
A West Midlands service requires a nurse to conduct blood borne virus screening, Hepatitis vaccinations and provide advice on safer sex, safer injecting and harm minimisation to opiate and stimulant users. The successful candidate will carry a caseload of clients but will also work in a drop-in centre. The contract could be offered on a part-time basis.
