Substance Misuse Nurse

A nursing qualification is essential. Previous experience working with substance misuse clients is essential. Experience working with substitute prescriptions would be a benefit. Access to a car for work purposes would be a benefit.

A West Midlands service requires an experienced alcohol practitioner to manage a caseload of around 30 clients on alcohol detoxification programmes. The role will include making assessments, designing care plans and key working clients. Some clients will be on substitute medication and monitoring prescriptions and titrating clients will be required. In addition duties may involve client home visits and group sessions. This contract may be extended beyond the initial duration.
