Software Developer

My client is a Scottish success story who have grown to over 100 staff in their Edinburgh development office. Recognized worldwide for their award winning innovations they boast a dynamic team of industry leaders, from management to marketing and sales to technology development.

To be of interest you will be a software developer with commercial experience of delivering C/Unix/X-Windows applications in a commercial environment. Other desirable skills include: Linux, Gnome, GUI Builders, Client-Server, XML. You will be a flexible, team player with excellent communication skills. You will be self motivated, analytical and thorough. You will be able to work well within a demanding operational environment. You will have a minimum education standard of 2.1 (or equivalent experience) in a Software development related degree.

Key Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Delivery of software design and development programs to agreed plans, timescales and quality. C programming within the Unix/Linux environment developing X-Windows/Motif/Gnome applications.
