Social Workers - Referral and Assessment Team, Safeguarding Team & Children in Need Team

Our client based in North London is seeking to recruit a number of professionally qualified Social Workers with vision and enthusiasm to take up posts in the Children in Need & Safeguarding Service based in the local area.

Referral & Assessment Team
This team is the one point of entry for all referral and initial contact to Children & Families, a division of the Children & Young People's Service. The posts require an ability to work in partnership with agencies, both statutory and voluntary, in order to provide an assessment service for those families identified as meeting the threshold for a service.

Safeguarding Team
This team provides a service to those children with a Child Protection Plan.

Children in Need Team
The Children in Need Team works with those children and families who have a high level of complex needs.

This is an exciting time to join the borough, as they are working within the CAF referral process and the Children's Networks. They provide a high level of staff support and development. In addition, they offer a comprehensive range of staff benefits including flexible working arrangements and mobile phones for all frontline staff.

The successful candidates will be DipSW or CQSW qualified with previous post-qualified experience, with an extensive knowledge of The Children's Act 1989 & 2004, Every Child Matters agenda and other relevant national guidance and regulations. This post is subject to current CRB or Enhanced Disclosure application to the Criminal Records Bureau for overseas candidates equivalent police checks, registration as a qualified social worker with the general Social Care Council, Right to work in the UK. Only candidates with relevant and experience and knowledge of legislation, frameworks and Governmental proposed measures should apply.
