Marine Works Construction manager

Background
• CJV has extensive attendances to provide to a subcontract for the specialist marine Works involving both Dredging & Tunnel Immersion.
• The CJV has responsibility for Environmental and Archaeological management and the co-ordination of all non specialist activities from local 3rd party liaison to the provision of the works in condition to suit requirements for executing the Subcontract.

Candidate Requirements

An experienced manager comfortable dealing with international contractors and self motivated to work closely with the Subcontractor to ensure delivery of CJV and other Project Partner Subcontractors responsibilities.
Required to be available fulltime with effect from June 2008 for approximately a 12 Month period.
Alert to commercial and contractual ramifications of agreements, instructions and programme.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Liaise with Subcontractor on all aspects of mobilisation and execution of Sub -contract works
• Liaise and co-ordinate with respective Partner Subcontractors to ensure that the Subcontract related works and facilities are ready as required.
• Assist Technical Manager with requirements in relation to Site preparations & associated consultations and design certification process as relating to the Subcontract.
• Assist Engineering Manager with design/operational interfaces in relation to specialist marine works .
• Attend design co-ordination & technical meetings as appropriate on behalf of CJV.
• Identify problems areas of work in relation to effects on programme.
