Community Care Assessors

Experience conducting community care assessments on drug and alcohol clients is essential. Diploma, degree or masters in Social Work, CQSW, CCETSW other GSCC registered qualification is a benefit. Statutory experience would be a benefit.

A London council is looking for a substance misuse practitioner to take on a caseload of clients (primarily alcohol misuse). The role will involve conducting community care assessments under the NHS and Community Care Act 1990 with a view to recommending treatment options, both locally and for national treatment centres. The role will involve presenting cases for funding and following up care plans to make sure that standards of care are maintained and treatments are suitable. This post offers the opportunity to gain statutory experience
