Charging Product Manager


The Product Management Group is part of the Product and Services Department within the charging business unit. The Product Management Group manages the product lifecycle and provides product management skills and expertise to support the productisation, product development, sales, and customer management processes.

Role
• Work with customers, sales and internal
clients to identify, define and author
detailed product requirements and perform
in-depth technical requirement analyses
• Manage the clarification of the product
requirements with internal customers
(system definition and development
groups), and verify that all product and
functional requirements are
fulfilled by completing technical reviews
of the respective functional
specifications
• Maintain product knowledge and industry
information, including product
specifications, technical explanatory
material and roadmap planning to identify
new product capabilities and features
• Manage customer change requests in line
with company procedures
• Manage all aspects of the productisation
process, including the production of sales
and marketing materials for specific
products and releases
• Participate in the preparation of tenders
(principally focusing on technical
compliance, dimensioning and pricing) and
in the review of customer sales offers.
• Provide product and technical
presentations and expertise to customers,
as part of the sales and business
development processes
• Manage technical aspects of third party
vendors e.g. compatibility, end of life
issues, etc.

Required skills and experience:

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer
Science or equivalent
• 5 years of product management experience
in an international setting within the
telecommunications business environment
• Good working knowledge of the telecoms
and/or IT industry. Experience in one or
more of the following is required:
Intelligent
Networks, Mobile Prepaid rating and
billing, GSM, GPRS, SS7 signaling, UMTS
• Preferably with a background in the
development or deployment of
Telecommunications value added systems and
services, a wide range of technical
experience in the telecommunications
arena, and proven commercial skills and
experience
• A highly organized team player,
self-motivated, quick learner, excellent
communication skills and ability to
multitask
• Ability and willingness to undertake
foreign travel.
