Software Test Engineer - Blackrock, Co. Dublin

Vero Solutions presently has a requirement for an experienced Telecoms Software Test Engineer to work within the development team on Vero’s product suite and on client development projects.


Requirements:

• System & Functional testing
• Planning and writing test cases
• Involvement within the requirements
gathering stage and willing to suggest and
improve the product from a testing and
installation perspective.
• Good UNIX knowledge, Shell scripting,
configuration skills
• Basic SQL query experience
• Experience working closely with a
development team writing tests
• Problem reporting and tracking
• Analyzing Customer data
• Producing Test Harnesses to automate
testing
• Support the Operations Engineers by
investigating issue
• Excellent communication skills and
professional manner

Beneficial but not essential:

• Telecoms experience
• Knowledge of GPRS, UMTS
• Experience with Oracle
• Experience with installing products on a
customer site - this is so the candidate
has previous experience with the type of
installation and maintenance issues that
arise on site so they can be included from
the start in our test plans.
