CAD Technician

Our Cleint designs and constructs foundations for all types of buildings, structures and civil engineering work.
Main purpose of the job. Prepare drawings for design and construction.

Prepare general arrangement and detail construction drawings using current version of AutoCAD for tenders and contracts.
Adapt and make amendments to construction drawings
Liaise with designers and contract engineers
Maintain and update documents control systems for drawings.
Develop, maintain and update written standards and procedures for CAD work.
Keep up to date with new CAD developments
Must have excellent knowledge of CAD
Willingness to provide further technical support to eestimating, design and operations teams
Must have 2 years commercial experience using AutoCAD 2004 (or later) with working knowledge of layers,blocks,Xrefs & modelspace/paperspace.
HND in CAD or similar
Familiarity with windows 2000, office 2000
37.5 hours/week , Mon- Fri, 0.845 - 17.00

Occasional travel to regional offices
