Test Manager - Dublin

Reporting to the VP Professional Services the candidate will lead and mentor a
software test team that are assigned to a dedicated project. You will be a key decision maker in the day-to-day challenges presented by project milestones and deadlines. The test manager will be capable of drawing on experienced and using this to direct the activities of the test team to ensure that test coverage is appropriate and software is validated to the highest possible standards


Responsibilities:
• Manage the testing functions across
multiple projects
• Evaluate and improve test process and
methodology
• Be accountable for quality and schedule of
own deliverables.
• Effectively prioritizes & manages tasks.
• Projects a professional image at all
times.
• Demonstrates commitment to continually
learning and developing self.
• Demonstrates leadership qualities by:
Fostering /nurturing talent within the
test team.
• Demonstrating awareness of the bigger
picture. Creating a vision, and sets
direction.
• Create test plans, strategy and reports

Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
• Degree in computer science or equivalent
3-6 years experience with competency in
the following areas
• Web GUI structure and development
• Manual regression test capability
• Test documentation production
• Design of automated test framework
• Test scripts creation/update
• Software configuration management
• Experience in software testing tool such
as SilkPerformer, Jmeter, WebLoad
• Experience in writing or supervising the
production of test books

Desirable:
• Experience in managing test activities
within a team environment and delivering
commitments that are to an agreed
timescales and budget.
• Experience in software development
lifecycle methodologies such as XP and
agile
