Who they are

Run-Off Management Group based in London have undergone a senior management restructure and this opportunity has been created as a result. This business is made up of six entities and they seek to attract a qualified and experienced Financial Accountant to join their growing team at their corporate offices based in the City.

What you will be doing

Participate in the creation of the departmental Business Plans to support Business Plans, produce statutory accounts, Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts and variance analysis.
Maintain proper financial and statutory records and controls, including general ledger, payments and receipts, undertake Financial Modelling for business acquisitions and deal with Third Party Administrators.
Corporation Tax Accounting, Insurance Premium Tax Returns, Complete annual FSA returns and review Lloyd’s returns, which will be compiled by a service provider.
Complete quarterly VAT / IPT returns in compliance with Customs and Excise regulations, participate in due diligence and assist with the management and control the Treasury function:
Identify working capital/cash flow, support investment strategy and comply with regulatory requirements, develop and maintain good relationships with external auditors and assist with interim and annual audits.

Why you should apply

Ideally you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with broad experience within Financial Services preferably the Insurance industry. Ideally you will be making the next step into Financial Control but have the necessary exposure to all systems and controls and be able to make an immediate impact. A strong technical background would be required and you may currently in a practice environment, although should be capable and have experience of producing key financial statements, as this role will be very hands on.
