Senior Electrical Engineer

On behalf of my client, the largest paper manufacturer and recycler in the UK, I am seeking to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer. The client is based on the Kent coast.


A summary of the job specification is included below:


Reporting to the mill engineering manager the suitable applicant will be:-

Safety & Environmental compliant
Possess a degree/HNC/HND in Electrical engineering & have 10 years industrial experience
Responsible for Site high/low Voltage System maintenance
Knowledgable of machine drive systems (ABB/ Siemens)
Responsible for PTW application/audit
Able to work within an environment of planned, predictive maintenance practices
Capable of working within agreed budget levels
Capable of diagnostic and problem solving duties

The Electrical Engineer will report to the Support Maintenance Manager, working closely with Maintenance Manager. There will also be the need to foster close working relationships with the engineers in the associated power station. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the mill electrical distribution network including high voltage switching to 33Kv. In this position the successful candidate will oversee the electrical engineering activities of the site.



In addition to the day-to-day operational issues such as faultfinding, the successful candidate would also be involved in project work, staff supervision, plant optimisation studies and team development.

The successful candidate will have experience of modern asset management techniques and display a systematic hands on approach to problem rectification and prevention.
