Drilling Engineer

The job hold will be responsible for:

Team Work experience in drilling operations and drilling Engineering.
Verify & check all Drilling Programs and AFE's.
Ascertain that all programs are in accordance with local authority regulations, company policies and
HSEQ standards.
Administer all drilling and services related contracts, including the co-approval of invoices of contractors and service companies.
Assist the Drilling Coordinator and the Drilling Manager in the management of the drilling campaign.
Assist the Drilling Superintendent in drilling Operation.
Co-ordinate and liaise with other Departments on all matters related to the delivery of successful production and/or exploration/appraisal wells.
Co-ordinate with the Drilling Department on all matters relating to the planning of rigs, personnel, services, contracts, materials & equipments, etc.
Evaluate & Implement new drilling techniques and methodologies.
Ensure all documents relating to all drilling activities are proper filed & stored and available.


Skills

The applicant should have the following skill sets:

Bachelor Degree in Engineering as a minimum with some post graduate qualifications preferable.
An Engineering and project work background is required with 10+ years specific hydrocarbon drilling experience.
Strong safety / environmental focus and leadership.
Good interpersonal and communications ability.
Good organization ability.
Technical excellence.
Capacity to contribute to and work with a team and create a high performing work culture.
Mechanical aptitude/strong general engineering skills.
Ability to deal with a broad range of people.
