Drilling Rig Supervisor

The Drilling Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day on site planning, rig start-up and execution of drilling and completion activities, maintaining maximum HSE and operational efficiency, at maximum value in terms of cost versus benefits. Responsible for implementation of all the company's policies, procedures and guidelines on drilling operations, safety and environmental protection.

Responsibility / Accountability

Responsible for the day-to-day on site planning, rig start-up and execution of drilling and completion activities.
Supervises the drilling contractor and service personnel to ensure all work performed conforms to safety, quality and highest value requirements and In accordance with the well programme.
Responsible for day-to-day optimisation of activities and provision of first line action and problem solving in case of unexpected events.
Provides sufficient, accurate and timely data to office based Well Delivery Team members.
Co-ordinates the timely supply of required equipment, consumables and specialist services to ensure uninterrupted continuation of operations.
Responsible for overall HSE on site, ensuring full Well site compliance with the Company HSE policies and procedures as detailed in the Safety Management System, HSE Standards and all other HSE documentation.
Improvement in drilling techniques.
In charge of rig POB.
Control the activity of contractors.
Analyse the instantaneous drilling data.
Responsible for the implementation of all relevant contracts on the rig site and their variations.
Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of contractor service quality.
Ensure the reliability of technical and financial information.
Ensure end control daily and final reporting of wells and/or of operations.
Completeness and correctness / accuracy of daily drilling reports.
Responsible for the daily expenditure and reporting.

Experience and Qualifications

Experienced Drilling Supervisor with previous experience as Well site Drilling Engineer / Supervisor.
Minimum 10 years experience.
Must have Valid Well Control certification (IWCF) and H2S Alive.
Land Drilling experience (preferably remote desert).
Trained in HSEO and Emergency Management.
Experienced horizontal drilling is a requirement.
UBD experience is preferred.
Previous Sahara experience is beneficial but not essential.
Fluent in English language (spoken end written) is essential.
