Needle exchange key worker

Experience giving harm minimisation advice to injecting opiate users is essential. Previous experience key working substance misuse clients is essential. Experience advocating prescriptions for opoid substitutes is a benefit.

A service in Yorkshire is looking for a project worker to work within its needle exchange. The role will primarily involve giving tier 2 interventions to drug and alcohol clients with in a drop in which includes a needle exchange. As such the successful candidate will be required to give harm reduction and safer injecting advice. The role will involve working with tier 3 interventions and may offer the opportunity to gain experience advocating doses for methadone and subutex.
