Architectural technician

We are now recruiting for a construction technician with 2-3 years experience within the UK residential housing market.

The right candidate must have an excellent understanding of the methods of construction for domestic house building, including extensions, refurbishments and new eco builds. Duties will involve full plans building regulation submissions to local London boroughs.


Responsibilities

• To have the ability to translate 2d planning approved proposals into construction drawings
• To carry design proposals through to completion via detail drawings which understand the design ethos of the original scheme
• To be able to negotiate with building control officers and departments


Qualities and skills required

Essential

• AutoCAD
• An understanding of current building control regulations
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instruction
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred

• Understanding of financial aspects of running a design project on time and on budget
• On site knowledge/experience
