Senior Java J2EE Engineer

Duties and responsibilities:

The Senior J2EE Software Engineer is responsible for architecture, design and implementation of key components of the company’s product set residing the company’s J2EE Server environment. Responsibilities also include ensuring the quality of the implemented server components and working closely with QA testing team to ensure high standards are maintained. Specific activities include:

• Efficient implementation of components within the J2EE server environment
• Technical and functional product documentation.
• Working with client’s technical teams to find solutions to implementations issues and feeding client requirements into the product design process.

Experience and qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a BSc in Computing or Engineering. The candidate will demonstrate a high level of achievement in their career to date.

Essential requirements are:
• 4 + years of software development in Java in general and J2EE , specifically Hibernate, JMS, JAAS, XML, SOAP/Web Services, ML, Ant

• Experience with JBoss Seam Framework, JSF and EJB3

• Experience with Java 5

• Experience in configuring Linux Servers, Jboss Application Server, Apache Web Server

• Experience in Database Technologies such as Oracle and MYSQL

• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets and implement high quality software

Advantage:

• Knowledge of HA systems, clustering, load balancing
• Experience with Aplication Server environments such as JBoss, BEA, Weblogic, IBM, Websphere
• TestNG unit testing framework
• Eclipse IDE
• Knowledge of mobile communications technologies such as WAP Push, SMS, GPRS and 3G.
