C++ / Symbian Programmer / Developer / Software Engineer - Glasgow

My client is looking for a senior C++ software developer with Symbian experience.
Candidates must have experience working with C++, Symbian in the embedded and mobile development space. Expertise is essential with:

• Strong OO design experience.
• 2D/3D graphics rendering experience. Proficient with Nokia Series 60, Symbian UIQ, Windows Mobile, Qualcomm BREW 3.x
• Experience of developing for Samsung/Motorola/LG, and proven track record of delivering the application on mobile devices is highly beneficial
• Familiarity with Network protocols such as; WAP, OTA, HTTP, TCP, SOCKETS
• Experience with OpenGL ES
• Hands-on experience with Design Patterns and UML.
• Excellent knowledge of low level graphics
• Strong skills for UI design and development – Screen shots and demos of work should be provided.
• Gaming industry experience a strong plus.

Successful candidates will be comfortable in design and development software such as:

• Microsoft Visual Studio 6/2005
• Nokia Carbride C++
• CVS/Subversion
• Development experience in a structured environment

Location: Glasgow

Rate: £Negotiable - dependant on experience

Duration: 6 Months +
