Dependence: Country Manager

Our Client is the market leader when it comes to purchasing services (eSourcing, eprocurement, outsourcing and consultancy) throughout both Europe and South America.

Functions:
- Purchasing in both Capex/ Project environment and on BAU activity
- Required to be flexible in working across different category areas
- Act as UK support to Group projects led from Spain
- Actions typically look at spend from low values (eg. £50K-100K) up to around £1 million
- Required to be able to work on multiple actions (eg. 15-20) at one time
- Activities include dealing with internal users / IT technical managers to understand requirements, translate into tender documentation, identify suppliers, run tenders, evaluate proposals, make recommendations
- Support to senior buyer in numeric analysis, bids comparison, etc

Requirements:
- The ideal candidate has at least 1-3 years experience as a IT Buyer, (software, hardware or telcos) or 3-5 years experience in a central purchansing with some experience buying IT services or products.
- Willingness to work on tactical and strategic sourcing projects
- Experience of end to end purchasing process, we are looking for a buyer, with experience in sourcing rather than ordering process or tracking orders or controlling stock or other admin functions related to procurement.
- Experience of IT Purchasing
- Basic knowledge of UK contract law
- Proven ability to work with limited supervision and lead projects if necessary
- Proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders
- Proven ability to priorities workload and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills written and oral articulate, persuasive, able to abstract and express concepts logically
- Good computer skills

- Valid UK Work Permit
- English (first language or very fluent)
- Spanish (not a must have but a plus)


Based: Milton Keynes

Start date: ASAP

Hours of work: 40 per week

Assignment length: permanent full time after probation period of 3 months

Compensation: approx. £60.000 base salary + 20% commission + benefits
