Unix Design Engineer

Vero Solutions is an independent telecoms software company that offers professional services and software solutions to leading network operators, equipment manufacturers and telecom software vendors.

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Dublin and with regional offices in Russia, Poland and the Czech Republic Vero currently employs over 100+ consultants working in their headquarters and in customer facilities around the country.

Vero is now establishing a team of Unix Administrators/Design Engineers which will be based on-site with a development partner in Athlone in their Research & Development facility.

You will be required to have:
• Expert knowledge of Solaris 9 and or 10
(including Zone and Ldom technologies )
• Knowledge of Veritas volume manager,
and/or Veritas HA and Netbackup products
• A strong Systems Administration background
on Sun Sparc HW/X86 HW and Disk arrays
• Strong korn/bash scripting capability
along with basic Perl programming
capability

Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Developing system administration tasks
into a productified installation, upgrade
and configuration solution for the OSS
product.
• Upcoming design activities include NIS /
Ldap modifications, LDOM / Zone usage in
the system, porting Sparc products to X86
products, disk array configuration
• Verification of these installation and
upgrade procedures.
• Documenting of these installation and
upgrade procedures.
