Business Development & Loan Documentation Officer

This job is for a major Chinese bank based in London.

The Business Development and Loan Documentation Officer will be responsible for assisting with the development and delivery of products and services to banking customers, exploring and analysing the retail market in alignment with the Bank strategy, specifically in the area of credit and loan facilities; and reviewing loan documentation submitted by the bank's branch network.

Specific responsibilities include:

Product Development/Management: monitoring product performance; understanding the target customer profile and how this is changing; developing new products/improving current product portfolio to meet customer expectations.

Analysing external data and delivering the bank sales and distribution strategy and translating it effectively to the bank Branch network to gain and retain customers; to build a long-term value relationship with customers, offering choice and meeting their varying demands and expectations.

Middle office of credit & loan products: applying the Retail Credit & Loan Middle Office Manual and Procedures to check the documentation prepared by Branch network; approval of relevant documentation.

Branch Management: assist the Head of Department by monitoring the performance of the Banking Department and Branches; act as a coordinator between the branches, Banking Department and other Departments.

To communicate with, monitor and help Banking Department and Branches apply the Bank's relevant policy and procedure.

Recognising and promoting cross-selling opportunities within other business departments across the Bank.

Experience required:

- Proven track record in similar department/business stream
- Staff management and development.
- Professional qualification as required (e.g. product qualified, CeMAP, CeFA).
- A network of contacts in related markets and customer bases.
- The ability to work independently but in a collaborative manner.
- High levels of self motivation and energy.
- Relevant retail banking/business development/marketing qualifications.
- Cantonese speaker/writer preferred. Mandarin useful.
