Nampak Plastics Europe is the major supplier of plastic bottles to the dairy industry and is a key part of the Nampak Group, a world leading packaging business. With a commitment to delivering
unrivalled customer service, there is a constant drive for quality, continuous improvement, cost control and efficiency within the business – the role of the Plant Manager is therefore crucial.

Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Director, you will be fully accountable for the smooth and profitable running of this purpose-built facility, supplying product on a continuous basis 24/7 to our on-site customer. With all site functions reporting in, including Engineering, you will, through your senior team, make all the key decisions affecting both KPIs and customer service.

Your skilled leadership of approximately 50 highly trained staff will be as fundamental to your own success as your prior experience and knowledge. The development of a safe, productive and highly motivated site must be as much a priority as increasing efficiencies and meeting the demands of the SLA.

You will fully develop the potential of your team through your inspirational and innovative leadership. Your proven communications skills will be pivotal to the continued success of the site as will be your proactive management of the relationship with the ‘through-the-wall’ customer. Externally to the site, you will develop a network through the company that will not only increase your own effectiveness as a senior manager, but also that of your team and the plant by exposing it to wider resources and best practice.

Having previously managed a similar ‘hygiene-led’, high volume continuous manufacturing operation where leading-edge technology has been paramount, you are now ready for the next challenge within a truly international player – career prospects are assured!
