Prescribing Drugs Worker, West Midlands

Previous experience managing a case load of opiate clients is essential. Previous experience advocating prescriptions for opiate substitutes is essential. A professional qualification would be a benefit but is not essential.

The role will involve working within the community managing a caseload of primarily class A substance misuse clients. The successful candidate will work alongside GP’s to assess and design care plans which involve the advocation of prescribed substitutes (methadone or subutex) as well as titrating existing clients to a stable dosage and key working once stable. This contract may be extended after the initial duration.
