COMMODITY SPECIALIST
Our client is looking for a strong and experienced candidate to join their team. Previous experience in procurement/supply chain management is essential.
The Commodity Specialist will be working within the supply chain function to deliver supply strategies, focusing on cost savings, cost avoidance and continuous improvements.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Working with suppliers on quality issues and sourcing new suppliers.
-Reviewing internal processes, identify issues, agree PP to implement changes.
-Plan for every part across the site and division.
-Bar coding across the site and division.
-Deliver programmes of continuos value improvement by proactively managing both suppliers and internal communities in ways appropriate to the procurement strategy.
-Provide technical support to minimise unit cost, maximise quality, customer service and productivity.
-Implementation of continuous improvement on site and at suppliers.
-Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of key delvelopments
