Employee Development Specialist
Citywide Recruitment is currently recruiting for two Employee Development Specialists for local, well established training company, covering the areas of Manufacturing or Business Admin/Customer Service and I.T.
The successful candidate shall be accountable for maximising achievement of all learners through training and assessment activities, whilst maintaining an appropriate level of personal caseload as determined by the line manager.
Role requirements include:
• Ensuring personal NVQ / Framework achievement rates reflect the company targets
• Promoting progression of learners from one programme to another.
• Identifying new opportunities through new employers
• Completing the learners’ start up paperwork, inductions, initial assessment and all other documentation in adhering to all company policies and procedures
• Carry out Health & Safety Risk Assessment and re-audits.
• Arrange for additional learner support where identified as necessary.
• Plan and carry out regular assessments to maximise achievement rates of learners working towards Apprenticeship frameworks or NVQs.
• Complete all necessary assessment documentation on an on-going basis in accordance with contractual rules and quality assurance procedures.
• Apply for Key Skills External Assessments to meet individual learner needs in accordance with internal procedures
• Ensure that all learner reviews are carried out to meet contractual requirements
• Contribute to Self-Assessment of local provisions in line with the company Continuous Improvement Policy.
• Carry out other duties as requested by the Operations Manager, Assessment Team Leader and Senior Employee Development Specialists.
Qualifications / Experience required
• D32/D33 or A1 qualification
• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
• Previous management / team leader experience
• Proven experience within an assessing role with the ability to organise and prioritise work in line with targets
• Good interpersonal skills
• Be emphatic, motivated, resilient and patient
• Ability to work flexibly as a member of the team
• Good administration and IT skills
