SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER

SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

To determine and manage a research and development program to enable company to remain abreast of technological advances in the electrical engineering department and ensure that appropriate technologies are applied.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Strategic management and maintenance of the electrical infrastructure on company, regions and includes the following; develops a substructure maintenance philosophy and strategy, determine substructure systems and standards, balancing of investments/condition relationship, monitoring of implementation of strategic actions.
• Coordination and integration of priorities and allocation of on-track machines to the regions.
• Special project to improve productivity and level of service on national basis.
• Keep abreast of development in new technologies in the electrical substructure maintenance field, for possible application in the company’s arena and to initiative new research and development projects.
• Monitors work procedures, safety instructions and maintenance manuals on an on-going basis and amends required in conjunctions with appropriate company’s personnel to ensure safe working in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety act, Research and Development results.
• Policies, strategies, systems and standards.
• Projects plan and schedules.
• Competent, harmonious, motivated teamwork.
• Statistics and reports.

REQUIREMENTS
• Matric + B Sc (Electrical Engineering).
• Registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa)
• 8 years relevant experience
• Drivers license
