Youth Offending Team Officer

The candidate must have a worked within a Youth Offending Team or have experience working within the Probation Service as a probation officer. Experience working with offending clients in a criminal justice setting, either adults or Youth Offenders is essential. The candidate must also have experience in conducting assessments and designing and developing care plans. Any prior experience writing PSR’s would be beneficial

The successful candidate will be working with young people who have been referred to the YOS and will be responsible for wringing pre sentence reports, conducting assessments and designing care plans. The candidate will be working within a Youth Offending Service and within the courts dealing with clients who have previously offended. The candidate will also be supervising young people who are subject to community orders and who are incarcerated.
