Youth Offending Team Officer
Previous experience working within a Youth Offending Team conducting assessments or generic YOT work is essential. Previous experience working as either an ISSP officer or a YISP worker would be beneficial. A knowledge of relevant current legislation is also a benefit.
The successful candidate, working within the guidance of the Criminal Justice Act 2003, will be working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team providing services to young offenders involved within the Criminal Justice System and Youth Offending Service. Additionally, the successful candidate will work with the young offenders and their families to prevent repeat offences and promote their welfare. Further to this the candidate will be responsible for designing and developing care plans and holding a case load of clients. The promotion of social inclusion and the prevention of re-offending underpin all duties carried out by the candidate
