Young persons substance misuse worker

Experience delivering substance misuse advice to young persons (Key stage 1-4) is essential. Knowledge of the Every Child Matters frame work as well as the National Delivery Plan for Young People and Substance Misuse is essential.

A local substance misuse service is looking for a new member of staff to deliver an existing substance misuse education package through PHSE lessons in local school. The role will involve delivering sessions to children of all ages across both primary and secondary school age groups. The role will also involve incorporating the Every Child Matters frame work as well as implementing the National Delivery Plan for Young Persons to ensure that those young people with an increased vulnerability to developing substance misuse issues are identified and an appropriate health plan is put into action.
