Senior Transport Planner

Job Responsibilities
To provide professional support to a designated Planning Team, in respect of Transport Assessments, Traffic Analysis, and Report Writing.
Manage and complete projects with minimum supervision.
Have a minimum of two years experience as a Transport Planner.

Duties
• Arrange and Supervise Traffic Counts by Specialist Consultants and analyse results.
• Carry our Traffic Analyses for specific highways and junctions using appropriate software such as ARCADY, PICADY, OSCADY, LINSIG, TRANSYT, TRICS, etc.
• Prepare feasibility studies for site access options with assistance as required from CAD Technicians or the Design Office.
• Liaise with Clients, Local Authorities and other parties as required.
• prepare reports
• have acquired knowledge and experience through handling successfully a variety of projects and have a good knowledge of planning and legal issues
• Take technical responsibility for projects
• Delegate routine tasks to a technical and junior Transport Planning staff.

The chosen candidate will have Design Engineers and Cad Technicians reporting to them on a regular basis.
