Senior Engineer/ ICA Engineer

Our client is a consulting engineering company that employs 600 specialists in the UK and Ireland, 2007/2008 is an exciting year for our client, they are looking for people to join them to deliver an increasing number of projects and frameworks throughout the UK and Ireland, these positions will be based on site in Reading.

Senior Engineer/ ICA Engineer



Responsibilities:



To carry out a combination role of both site and client office based work, in connection with the specification/installation of process control and associated instrumentation. This work is at various sites across the Thames region. The work will include-



Site surveys
Preparation of User Requirement Specifications (URS’s)
Supervision of technical staff
Preparation of enquiry specifications for ICA equipment & services
Provide technical advise and recommendations to the Project Managers on the purchase of ICA equipment and services
Contractor supervision
Installation inspection
Contractor liaison
Client liaison


The office base is Reading and the candidate must have a clean driving licence



Experience:



The candidate should have an Instrumentation and Process Control background, as well as good knowledge of: PLC’s, SCADA and Data Networks. Experience in ICA subcontractors supervision and working on multiple projects is also required. Ideally this experience will be in the water industry.



Qualification in a relevant engineering degree is preferred but OND/HNC with relevant experience would be considered



Salary Details:



Negotiable, depending on qualifications and relevant skills. The company has a 7% non-contributory pension scheme and 23 days annual leave increasing to 24 after two years of service and to 25 after two further years of service
