Field Service Engineer - Oil and Gas

We are recruiting for a leading provider of flow equipment products, systems and services to worldwide oil, gas and process industries. They are looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer working from their office based in London.



Position: Field Service Engineer



Report to: Business Development Manager



Position Summary: Testing, Precommissioning; Commissioning of equipment supplied by the company and / or subvendors onshore and offshore worldwide.



Principal Duties:

· Carry out visits to internal and external client sites worldwide, Onshore and Offshore for the purposes of testing, precommissioning, commissioning, servicing and maintaining equipment supplied by the company and / or its subvendors.

· Supervise as necessary the subvendor or other site labour.

· Conduct all work activities in accordance with local legislation and working conditions applicable to the site where the work is conducted ensuring that all work conducted does not compromise personnel or equipment safety,

· Prepare and issue for all site work undertaken a detailed client report identifying all work conducted and recording all hours worked.

· Prepare internal reports from any site work observations to all continual improvement of the company’s documented quality system and standard design procedures.

· Generate as necessary procedures for works testing, precommissioning, commissioning, service and maintenance of equipment supplied by the company and/or its subvendors.

· Conduct as requested specific visits to client sites for the purposes of providing technical support and recommendations with respect to the supply of performance and maintenance enhancing modifications and / or necessary spare parts inventories.

· Provide reports and technical support to the After Market Sales team.

· Whilst making any site visit ensure that any opportunities as detailed in item 7 are considered and documented.

· Actively report to the necessary internal responsible person any information which may be received at any time which may be utilized to promote the company and/or its products and services.

· Ensure all documentation and information for the submission of invoicing, ensuring that this is conducted in a timely manner.

· Be responsible for the safe keeping and maintenance of the company’s test and maintenance equipment.

· Complete on a weekly basis a Field Service Database Report



Qualification:

· Ideally HNC Engineering



Skills:

· Practical knowledge of Process Systems

· Commercial Awareness

· Self Starter

· Team Player



Experience:

· 3 years in a similar position – dependent upon qualification – product training to be provided as applicable
