Vero Solutions presently has a requirement for a Java Software Developer.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for working within the development team on Vero’s product suite and on client development projects. The core technical requirements are strong Java, SQL & UNIX Skills. Experience in Telecoms/J2EE/Linux/Oracle is highly desirable.

Engineer Profile
You will have 3/4+yrs experience in design & development of Java / Oracle solutions with a proven track record in a technically challenging development environment.

Requirements

• Java / J2EE applications and understanding of distributed system design Unix
• ORACLE Relational Database: queries and optimisation
• Unix and Linux experience
• Excellent communication & organisational skills, ability to communicate at all business levels with internal and external customers. Travelling for short trips to Europe may be required
• Uses own initiative to identify areas for improvement and find solutions to problems presented

Experience in some of the following areas would be a further advantage
• DBA experience
• Telecom applications
• C++ development
